The Totto trail is a 10.2-kilometer long intermediate mountain bike trail, offering 215 meters of ascent and varied terrain along Ounasvaara’s best trails. The trail starts at Santasport and runs along the top of Ounasvaara, circling the area’s most beautiful paths.
The trail is marked and follows mostly natural, minimally reinforced forest paths, allowing cyclists to enjoy an authentic mountain biking experience. Along the Totto trail, you can also admire the local river valley scenery from the Tottorokka viewpoint, which offers stunning views of the surrounding nature.
Towards the end of the trail, cyclists will encounter a long and extremely fun flow descent, providing fast-paced action and excitement for those seeking it. This section is particularly popular among experienced cyclists but is also suitable for brave beginners who want to test their skills. You can also easily bypass the final descent by detouring to the walking trail and riding back to Santasport past the lookout tower’s.

In the latter half of the route, the trail climbs back up to Ounasvaara and continues along the area’s easiest trails before returning to the starting point at Santasport.
